Certifications offered by PMI
PMP®
Full name: Project Management Professional (PMP) / Project Manager.
Role in the project: Manages and manages the project team.
Procedure: Application + examination.
Exam: 230 minutes, 180 questions.
Payment in PMI: $555 ($405 for individuals who are members of PMI).

- A four-year degree, 36 months leading projects, 35 hours of project management, education/training or CAPM® Certification.

- A high school diploma or an associate’s degree (or global equivalent), 60 months leading projects, 35 hours of project management, education/training or CAPM® Certification.

Full name: Certified Associate in Project Management / Certified Project Management Assistant.
For starting project managers or those who are just planning a career as project managers.
Procedure: Application + examination.
Exam: 3 hours, 150 questions.
Payment in PMI: $300 ($225 for individuals who are members of PMI).
Prerequisites:
- Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent);
- 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam.

PgMP®
Full name: Program Management Professional.
Prerequisites:
- Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent), 48 months of project management experience OR PMP, 84 months of program management experience within the last 15 years.
— OR —
- Four-year degree, 48 months of project management experience OR PMP, 48 months of program management experience within the last 15 years.
Exam: 4 hours, 170 questions.
Payment in PMI: $1000 ($800 for PMI members).

PMI-ACP®
Full name: PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner.
Role in the project: Leader or member of the flexible project team
Procedure: Application + examination.
Exam: 3 hours, 120 questions.
Payment in PMI: $495 ($435 for PMI members).
Prerequisites:
- Secondary degree;
- 21 contact hours of training in agile practices;
- 8 months of flexible project work in the last 3 years;
- 12 months of general project experience within the last 5 years or PMP / PgMP certificates.

Full name: PMI Professional in Business Analysis / Business Analyst

- Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree), 60 months of business analysis experience, 35 contact hours of education in business analysis.

Role in the project: Assesses and identifies risks, reduces threats, increases the probability of using opportunities.
Prerequisites:
- Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent), 36 months of project risk management experience within the last 5 years, 40 hours of project risk management education

- Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent), 24 months of project risk management experience within the last 5 years, 30 hours of project risk management education.

- Secondary degree, 40 months of project scheduling experience within the last 5 years, 40 hours of project scheduling education.

- Four-year degree, 28 months of project scheduling experience within the last 5 years, 30 hours of project scheduling education.
Exam: 3.5 hours, 170 questions.

Prerequisites:
- All applicants must possess a minimum of 96 months of professional business experience within the last 15 years, Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent), 84 months of portfolio management experience.
