AI Sprint: Tech to Lead

Technical excellence got you here. Management capability, built on AI, takes you further.

Technical professionals who move into leadership roles typically hit the same wall: they are excellent at the work, and underprepared for everything that surrounds it. Stakeholder alignment. Delivery governance. Communicating under uncertainty. Managing people who build things differently than they would. Artificial intelligence (AI) does not solve these challenges, but it significantly accelerates the learning curve for someone who is willing to approach management with the same rigour they apply to technical problems.

WHO IT’S FOR

For technical professionals ready to lead formally or informally

  • Developers, engineers, architects, data scientists, and IT specialists who are leading or about to lead teams
  • Technical leads who are effective individually but want to scale their impact through other people
  • Technical managers who have management responsibility but no formal PM training, and want modern, practical foundations
  • Technical professionals whose organizations are moving to AI-augmented delivery and want them to lead that transition

Prior management experience is not required. A technical background is. This program assumes you can think systematically and learn fast: it builds management capability on that foundation.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

6 sessions. Modern PM foundations built for technical minds

The program is explicitly not a traditional theoretical PM course. It covers modern PM practice: agile and hybrid approaches, outcome-based delivery, AI-augmented planning etc. - the way project management actually works in 2026. Each session connects to participants' real technical environments.

01
Modern PM Foundations: What Has Changed and What Matters

What is still essential (delivery governance, stakeholder management, risk thinking, benefits realization) and what has shifted (waterfall is rarely sufficient; agile is not a silver bullet; hybrid is the default). Participants leave with a clear mental model of modern PM practice.

02
From Builder to Orchestrator: The Leadership Shift

The hardest part of the technical-to-management transition is unlearning the habit of solving problems directly. A manager's job is to create conditions where the team solves problems. AI makes this transition more navigable.

03
Delivery Governance with AI

How to structure delivery so you maintain visibility without micromanaging. How to use AI tools to track progress, identify risk early, and surface problems before they escalate. Participants apply this to their current or upcoming team context.

04
Stakeholder Engagement: The Skill Technical Professionals Need Most

How to map stakeholders, communicate technical progress to non-technical audiences, manage expectations under uncertainty, and handle the politics of organizational decision-making. AI tools for stakeholder communication built into this session.

05
Managing People in an AI-Augmented Team

How to give feedback on AI-assisted work. How to maintain team motivation and growth. How to preserve the human skills that AI cannot replicate: mentoring, culture-keeping, collective problem-solving.

06
Leading AI Adoption in Your Team

Introducing AI practices without mandate, building team habits around AI tools, governing AI output quality, and handling the team members who are resistant or over-reliant. Each participant builds a short AI adoption plan for their team.

OUTCOMES

What you will get:

  • Participants have a working understanding of modern PM practice, the foundation of one
  • Technical leads can set up and maintain delivery governance structures that give them visibility without micromanagement
  • Participants can manage stakeholder engagement: communicate progress, handle expectations, navigate organizational dynamics
  • Technical managers can manage people in AI-augmented teams: clear accountability, meaningful feedback, preserved human capability
  • Each participant has an AI adoption plan for their team: specific practices, tools, and habits
