The PMI Certified Practitioner in Managing AI Projects (PMI-CPMAI) is PMI's specialist credential for project leaders running artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. It covers the full project lifecycle - business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, deployment, and operations - and treats AI governance as a first-class topic. INSTAR's preparation is led by a PMI-CPMAI certified instructor who manages real AI projects in consulting practice.
For PMs and delivery leads running AI initiatives.
- Project managers leading AI, data science, or analytics projects.
- Product and program managers in AI-augmented delivery environments.
- Technical leads and architects who own AI delivery accountability, not just code.
- PMP and PMI-ACP holders adding AI specialization to their practice.
- Consultants and PMO leads governing AI initiatives at portfolio level.
Not the right fit: If you have no project delivery experience, start with CAPM or PMP. PMI-CPMAI assumes you already understand how projects are run.
Why train with INSTAR
