Where do I get the guide itself?

It is free for active PMI members through PMI's standards library. Agile Alliance members can download the PDF from their site. Otherwise it is available in the PMI store.

We run classic projects, not agile. Is there a point in attending?

Yes, and this is one of the more interesting parts of the second edition. Predictive, hybrid, and agile approaches now sit in one section as equally valid choices, not as old versus new. That shift is worth seeing.

Will there be a recording?

Yes. We send it to registered participants. Register even if you are not sure you can join live.

Can I ask questions live?

Yes. There is an open Q&A at the end. You can also submit questions in advance through the registration form, that way they will not get lost.

I am preparing for the PMP under the 2026 ECO. Does this change my preparation?

We cover this in the webinar. Short version: the guide is not exam material, but it shows how PMI currently thinks about agile and hybrid. Under the 2026 ECO that is 60% of exam items. The new exam and the new edition also landed a week apart, moving in the same direction: AI and sustainability as context you make decisions inside, not topics you recite.

Why we are running this webinar

In July 2026, PMI and Agile Alliance published the second edition of the Agile Practice Guide. The first came out in 2017. Nine years of product development, distributed teams, and AI sitting in between. This is not an update. The guide has been rewritten. The first edition's seven sections became six new ones across 182 pages, and one of them covers ground that did not exist in 2017: AI-enabled delivery, generative tools inside the team's workflow, DORA metrics, psychological safety, sustainability, and distributed work treated as the default rather than the exception. Alina Piddubna read it cover to cover. In this webinar she walks through the guide as a practitioner who manages a portfolio of programs for European technology clients. Not a summary of the table of contents. She takes the same role she took in July when she read PMI's AI standard. A systematic skeptic. What in the second edition actually changes your work, what reads as good intentions on paper, and what is worth applying next week. There is a separate segment on exams. July 2026 was a busy month: the new PMP exam under the 2026 ECO launched on 9 July, and the second edition of the guide followed a week later. Both move in the same direction. In the new ECO roughly 40% of items cover predictive approaches, and the remaining 60% is split between agile and hybrid. PMI-ACP is built entirely around these practices. We look at what the new edition means if you are preparing right now. The session ends with an open Q&A.
