Do I need to apply to PMI before or after the course?

You can apply either before or after, but we recommend starting the PMI application process during the course, not before. The onboarding session walks you through the application in detail: eligibility requirements, how to document your experience correctly, and how to navigate the audit process if selected. Most candidates find it easier to submit their application once they understand the full picture, which typically happens within the first two weeks of the course.

What is the pass rate for INSTAR PMP prep graduates?

99% of our PMP prep graduates pass the exam on their first attempt. In the Certification and All inclusive packages, mentor support continues after the course until exam day. Our trainers work with every cohort not just to cover the material, but to build the analytical judgment the exam actually tests. The structure, the PMI Exam Simulator practice, and the exam strategy session exist precisely because you getting the PMP certificate is the goal, not just completing the course.

What makes this prep different from self-study with PMI's official materials?

PMI's official materials tell you what's on the exam. This course teaches you how to think through it. The PMP exam doesn't test memorization, it tests situational judgment: given this scenario, what does a project manager do next? That kind of thinking is very difficult to develop alone with a book or a video course. Every session builds what we call the "project manager mindset" - the ability to read a scenario question and recognize what PMI is actually asking, not just what the words say. Add to that the live PMI Exam Simulator practice, the exam strategy session on cognitive traps and time management, and a trainer who has guided candidates through this exact exam, and the difference becomes tangible in your practice scores.

What if I don't pass the exam after the course?

Contact us after the exam in any package: we will go through your results with you and show where the gaps are. In the Certification and All inclusive packages you can also retake the whole cohort free, on the conditions in the question about the free retake.

Is there an English-language option for the sessions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The current cohort listed on this page runs in Ukrainian with PMI materials in English, designed for Ukrainian-speaking professionals wherever they are based. However, INSTAR also runs PMP prep cohorts fully in English, intended for international participants and Ukrainian professionals who prefer English instruction. See our full list of open events. If no English cohort is currently open, you can register your interest, and we will notify you when registration opens.

What are the current PMP eligibility requirements?

PMI offers three paths: a bachelor’s degree or higher plus 3 years of project experience in the last 10 years; an associate degree, higher certificate, or technical-vocational qualification plus 4 years; or secondary education plus 5 years. Every path also requires 35 hours of training or an active CAPM. PMI GAC graduates need 12 months less experience.

What is the current PMP exam format?

The exam has 180 questions, lasts 240 minutes, and uses an adaptive format. Question types include multiple choice, multiple response, case and scenario series, graphic-based, matching, and point-and-click.

Which languages are available for the PMP exam?

Accepted Answer

The exam is available in 15 languages, including English, Polish, and Russian. Ukrainian is not offered.

Will PMI accept live training hours from any course?

Accepted Answer

From late 2026, live PMP training hours count only when delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner or an accredited academic program. INSTAR is a Premier ATP, so its hours count today and after the change.

What is PMI Study Hall?

Accepted Answer

PMI Study Hall is PMI's official online practice platform for the PMP exam: full practice exams in the real exam format, mini exams, lessons, flashcards and progress tracking. Access lasts 3 months from activation, and we activate it at the end of the course so it covers your final exam preparation. It is a separate product from the PMI exam simulator, which comes with the official course materials we receive as a PMI Authorized Training Partner.

What does PMI membership give me?

PMI membership is a personal one-year membership registered on your own PMI account. Members pay a lower PMP exam fee and get digital access to PMI standards, including the PMBOK® Guide. For Ukraine, membership includes the PMI Ukraine Chapter.

Question 12

What is included in the exam payment in the All inclusive package?

PMI sells the PMP exam at the member price only together with membership, so the All inclusive package includes this exam + one-year PMI membership bundle. It covers one exam attempt. We pay PMI only after PMI approves your application.

Why does the package cost more than the PMI prices on pmi.org?

Accepted Answer

Because buying PMI products for you is a service. We cover payment processing fees, currency conversion and the exchange-rate risk between your payment and our purchase from PMI, and we handle the purchase, activation and any account issues with PMI. If you prefer to buy membership, the exam and Study Hall yourself on pmi.org, choose the Course package.

What are the conditions for the free retake?

You can retake the whole cohort free if you did not pass the exam and you met three conditions: you attended at least 80% of sessions, you took the exam within 6 months of the course end, and you scored 80% or more on the PMI exam simulator before the exam.

Question 15

I am already a PMI member. Which package should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Choose the Certification package. The All inclusive package already includes a one-year PMI membership together with the exam, so you would pay for membership twice. As a member, you pay the PMP exam fee yourself on pmi.org at the member price.
