THE CONTEXT

Why we created this course

Your plan was right, the numbers were right, and it still did not pass. Someone said "let's come back to it in a month", the sponsor stayed silent, and two weeks later a different project got the budget. That is not bad luck. It is the half of management that is not in PMBOK: who really decides, what they need, what the silence in the room means, and whether you have a mandate or are working on goodwill. In three hours with Natalia Starynska (PMP, PMI-authorized instructor, certified mediator and facilitator, ten years of consulting organisations on how they run projects) you learn to read the signals of the real agenda, separate the people who speak from the people who decide, and build a position before you need it. We cover the difference between work you do on your own initiative and work you are mandated to do, how to get the mandate written down, how to build allies across departments, and how to stay clean when others play politics. The second half is practice: you map the politics around one of your own initiatives and plan the next three moves. You leave with a political map of your project and a plan to secure the mandate.
